THE CALVI ELECTRIC X-FACTOR

The excellence (X) factor in any industry is defined by what distinguishes one business from the next.  Calvi Electric Company continually raises the bar for electrical contracting by contribution of a wealth of experience, technology and commitment to each project we build and leaving a lasting impression on the general contractors, owners and clients we serve. Calvi Electric Company doesn’t view each project as an individual job; rather, we look at each as an opportunity to establish a long term relationship with the customer. Our overriding philosophy is to leave the owner and the general contractor or construction manager “delighted” with our performance, such that they will consider us an asset to have on their team.

“Our customers, general contractors, and owners have all come to recognize, respect, and expect that we will provide them with the highest quality of workmanship, delivered in the most professional manner in the marketplace.”, says George Brestle, CEO of Calvi Electric Company.  Brestle joined the company in 1967 to work for his father-in-law, Francis Calvi, as an electrician’s apprentice. A business major at Villanova University, Brestle soon became office manager and began growing Calvi Electric Company in to the business it is today.

Qualified Journeyman Electricians, Project Foreman, and Project Managers

In the rapidly changing landscape of electrical contracting, one thing that sets you apart is your experience.  The past few decades have been a period of conservatively controlled growth with the development of excellent field supervision, project management, support staff, and top-notch electricians.

Calvi has managed to retain dozens of seasoned journeyman electricians throughout those years.  We treat them as precious commodities because they have the knowledge and experience of building a long list of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects in New Jersey and much of what you see in the Atlantic City skyline today.  Many of these electricians have worked for Calvi Electric Company for decades and have become our most coveted electrical foremen and project managers.

Calvi stays on top of new technologies and installation methods by providing workshops, vendor training, and continuing education opportunities to its electricians.

“Our trade is constantly evolving,“ says Michael Brestle, George Brestle’s son and President of the company. “We’ve got to do it all, from medium voltage electrical distribution to advanced lighting control, LED lighting, security systems, and fiber optics. A building might have 14 or 15 systems. I have learned by being in the field myself to recognize the exceptionally talented electricians in our local and I am fortunate to have them working for the company.”

The foundational training received through JATC/IBEW Local 351, vast field experiences and knowledge base provides our journeyman electrician with the skills necessary to deliver exceptional quality and workmanship.
